Between the Winter Solstice of yesterday and the New Moon of tomorrow, this day invites us to settle in. Find some Joy. Joy is not a word we use much at other times of the year, and yet is easy to pass by verbally without much thought, around traditional holidays. What does Joy mean to you? Picture a scenario… then immerse yourself in it. Let your imagination bring you the visceral experience of Joy.
Early on I got a strong scent of pear.
In awareness of the seasonal change and increases in gathering, I invited an energy of immune protection into the session today. I had a couple different smudge sticks for clearing as well as Frankincense essential oil.
Treatment to the aura, as our group merged into one glowing and flowing jellyfish-like creature. Sparks of individuality, then blending into the oneness of all. Holding here the Reiki pulsed like the breath, rippling in and out.
The physical focus then became the breath, and lungs, and from there came a clenching of / clamping in at the Heart. Holding crossed forearms over the Heart space, this area absorbed a lot of Reiki and with time began loosening. There were moments of burning at the skin as well, mostly arms and left thigh.
Merging back out to observe the whole body, a green and smokey Heart-shaped vial came to mind – like a container to preserve this energy.
A full-body scan integrated energy quite freely with some additional attention at both the Throat and Solar Plexus. There was tightening at the Throat, first encircling, then pulling down into the chest, then up and out, toward the ears. It felt quite stuck, moving through these surrounding areas until release. The Solar Plexus pulsed, especially into the back right of the body, taking in extra energy and flowing all throughout. The energy at the Root moved quickly, and really anchored down.
Asking for guidance in drawing a card to close the session, from Sandra Anne Taylor’s “Energy Oracle Cards” deck we received #50 ANGEL OF STRENGTH, inverted (image and full description below). This may mean you are feeling lacking in support right now, trying to hold it all in… hold it all together. Look for some form of higher support to release your woes into. Give yourself an out. Even if just in quiet alone moments, see if there is something you can put your faith into and dump your worries toward. Let yourself be free of the weight of the world, so you can shine your brilliant light. There is a feeling that time is running out, but in reality, there is no schedule to follow. Trust the future. (There is a sparkling surprise.)

Personal Power and Inner Strength
Reversed This card reversed indicates that you are not perceiving the truth of your own power – perhaps you’re even seeing yourself as weak or ineffectual. The situation you find yourself in may seem overwhelming, but you absolutely do have the strength to see it through to a successful outcome.
Don’t fall into any old patterns of giving your power away. When you let others define you or make decisions on your behalf, you take yourself out of the picture of your own destiny creation. Meditate on the brilliant, vibrating light of this angel and recall the eternal power that surges through your life. It’s time to take back control!
