This post is for my 07/22/22 Group Distance Reiki Session. If you are reading this at any time please know the energy and message, as it resonates, is perfect for you.
During early setup I applied Neroli essential oil around and behind the ears, then shortly before beginning today’s session I put Lavender essential oil in a diffuser for the altar, space, and practice.
Upon connect the Reiki energy was showering down like lightning. Intense, potent and empowering. It struck and appeared to be charging a multi-legged battery-like pack that sat upon our spinal columns, holding the energy for diffusion and integration over much time.
I thought the legs on the pack were spider-like, and throughout the session had other spider and octopus imagery. (Last week also featured octopi. This time they were more elongated and flowy, almost jelly fish-ish, rather than bulbous and cartoon-y.) The spiders were often mechanical in nature, as in the battery pack. There were also recurrences of hexagons and honeycomb. Together these brought forth resonances of sixes and eights.
Since I knew I wouldn’t be note-taking for this session I thought a multi-card draw would be nice, and as I practiced I decided on a 2-card draw: one for the session, and one looking forward. Midway I pulled the first card, specifically asking for guidance that would be helpful now, today. From Sandra Anne Taylor’s “Energy Oracle Cards” deck we received #40 SIXTH CHAKRA, ARCHANGEL METATRON: Clarity of Thought, Personal Vision, upright. I requested assistance from Archangel Metatron and held space to invite his presence for the remainder of the session. I found the six and the geometry of hexagons to be precursors to his invitation. A picture and full card description is included below for additional assistance in what he may bring to you in integrating these Reiki energies.
Then, just before closing, I drew a second card from the same deck, asking for guidance that would be helpful over the coming two weeks. We received #18 ANXIETY: Worry or Distress, reversed. While this is a wonderful indicator of passing anxiety, I believe it may be currently present or intense, knowing this was a request about what’s to come. I’ve included a picture and full description of this card as well, but in addition to the Reversed reading I have added in the Upright reading, since this could be your experience in this moment… and could be the indicator of hope for days ahead. I recommend offering a sense of surrender into any distress of this moment, holding faith and trust that calmer horizons are in development.

#18 ANXIETY
Worry or Distress
Reversed Finally, relief! This nightmare of a card reversed could mean one of two things: either a recent problem is on its way out, causing you to feel more relaxed; or you have mastered the old habit of worry and have freed yourself from the anxiety within. Either way, Anxiety reversed is a good omen of more relaxed and peaceful times to come. Maintain a trusting attitude and let the difficulties and fear thoughts fade away into the distance. Upright The woman on this card is filled with anxiety, worrying about something that causes her a great deal of discomfort. Receiving this card upright may indicate that you’re experiencing a time of increasing stress – perhaps even a situation that you find yourself brooding about much of the time. However, if you’ll notice the scene outside the window, the storm is distant and perhaps even moving away. Whatever is going on, this card is telling you to release the worry and let yourself relax. Brooding and fretting will never solve things, so trust in yourself and your process. When you live with a relaxed heart and mind, you’re far more likely to receive the solutions that you seek. Affirmation: I let go of fear and worry. I assume the best and live in peace. All is well.
